Peter And Joanne's Golden Wedding Anniversary
The Guests came from far and wide (York to California) and danced the night away to a jazz band. Irene Stubbs made a very special cake and Janet Hayton put together some lovely flower arrangements. Three guests from the wedding (in St Paul , Minnesota) 50 years ago were present again - Matron of Honour Sister Nona Mary, flower girl Cindy and mother Doreen had flown in specially in from the States. The speeches were excellent! (I would say that I wrote one of them). Daughter Mandy composed a poem about family history specially for the occasion (see link below). Grandson Christopher sang along with the band. The reception had a photographic display of the happy couple and their family - some of the photos, people would rather forget!!! Photo Galleries
